SAFE SITE VISITS:  
Following review of the RICS Corona Virus guideline for surveyors, we at SI Property Consultants are open for business to deal with your property needs.  Whether it is safety, party walls, neighbourly disputes, construction contractual or property lease repair issues - we are here to help.  As a safety procedure we will follow the following procedure:
     + We will wear masks and gloves and will endeavour to maintain the recommended safe distance. 
     + We would recommend that property owners ensure good ventilation in the area during the inspection
     + Doors should be kept open to reduce the necessity of the surveyor touching handles to access rooms. 
     + The surveyor's identification card will be left at the door so you can initially check this before you let them in.  
     + We cannot visit if anyone in your property or our staff are unwell or have symptoms.   

Please discuss by telephone or email the method, procedure and essential details of the visit with the surveyor before the inspection is arranged to ensure it meets your own safety needs.

 

DESIGN SOLUTIONS TO KEEP YOUR OFFICE, SHOP, RESTAURANT OR WORKPLACE RUNNING:  
With social distancing set to remain for a few more months, there may be ways of adapting and reconfiguring shops, offices, warehouses and workplace to safeguard staff and customers.  There will be simple (short and long term) solutions that can be implemented to keep your business running and profitable.  
        +  Adapt / change door handles and features to avoid frequent touch, incorporate automated openers
         +  Install correct well sized and positioned Covid-19 safety signage, markings, barriers to ensure awareness
         +  Install small sink with hand sanitiser at entrance for staff and customers to immediately wash hands 
        +  Redesign table layout in a restaurant to maximise customers within the same floor space
         +  Reconfigure workspace layout in offices or workplace to maximise staff seating
         +  Adapt building layouts to control movement of staff, customers and visitors. 
        +  Install thermal readers and heat sensors

We believe the way we currently work, shop and use our recreational time will change quite dramatically over the next few years.  It will be important to keep business and property adapted to ensure maximum efficiency.
